Mandela Day Roof Concert raises funds for Maranatha Streetworkers Trust


Roof Garden Bar is hosting a Mandela Day charity concert to raise funds for the Maranatha Streetworkers Trust with a line-up of international and local talent set to wow the guests.

In the spirit of Nelson Mandela and in celebration of Mandela Day the Roof Garden Bar is a hosting a charity event on the 18th of July, 2015, to raise funds for the Maranatha Streetworkers Trust, a home which houses 34 children and 20 adults and offers them love, care and support to grow into the best version of themselves.

The Mandela Day Roof Concert is a music and art showcase that will see international artist UK singer, songwriter, Samuel Miller who's popular single 'Stepping Out' sat on the no.2 spot on the Official 5fm Chart recently-supported by a host of Port Elizabeth’s finest musical sensations, The Sound of Umle, Well Done Son, The Cottonfields and rising stars Charlie Finch and Emma Ellis.

The event will be hosted at the Roof Garden Bar- a unique venue in the heart of Port Elizabeth – 33 Chapel Street, Central and part of the new Donkin Village development.

Event organisers Fly Piggy Fly Entertainement will be show casing their usual mix of multi-media, as artwork from the Maranatha children will be projected around the roof during the event, so make sure you come and witness this musical and artistic showcase.

Local musicians are donating their time to the worthy cause and the memory of South Africa’s hero, Nelson Mandela for Mandela Day. The proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Maranatha and help them keep up the important work they do.

Food and drinks will be on sale, under 18's are allowed to attend while those under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
