Middendorp to coach Chippa United

BY NATALI IVERSON - DECEMBER 27, 2014

It has been reported that Ernst Middendorp will be the new coach of Chippa United in the New Year.

Middendorp was removed as coach of Bloemfontein Celtic earlier this month due to no wins in four games in this year’s Premier League; however, he has said that he will be returning to the ABSA Premier Soccer League (PSL) soon, with the Port Elizabeth-based outfit.

Roger Sikhakhane, who has lead United to eighth on the PSL log at the festive season break, will once again be side-lined.

Middendorp has great coaching experience in South Africa and will be the most accomplished coach Chippa has had since their club creation in 2010.

He has also coached the Kaizer Chiefs, Maritzburg United and Lamontville Golden Arrows within South Africa.
