The Port Elizabeth office of the SA Weather Services on Wednesday morning said that rainy weather experienced throughout the province last week boosted water levels in the Nelson Mandela Bay’s catchment areas in the Baviaanskloof.

“According to data received from the Department of Water Affairs, Nelson Mandela Bays main storage dams are on average 85% full,” said Garth Sampson, SA Weather Services’ spokesperson for the Eastern Cape.

“All dams are overflowing except the second largest, namely the Impofu Dam, which is standing at 60% of its capacity.”
