MOVIE REVIEW: Logan trailer officially released; the final act for Hugh and Patrick

The official trailer for the third Wolverine movie; Logan has been released. This film marks the third Wolverine movie and the trailer promises that this is the Wolverine the fans have always wanted and deserved.

The film takes place in the distant future, mutants appear to have disappeared and the X-men are no longer around. Enter Logan, aka Wolverine, who appears very different from the one we have come to know. With scars on his body and seen to have visibly aged, Logan appears a much weaker man than before.

He is seen conversing with a very old Charles Xavier, aka Professor X, who seems to be slightly senile and may be suffering from Alzheimer’s. Together, these two final X-men travel around and eventually find a young girl, who seems to have similar powers to Logan himself.

It seems as though Logan must keep this girl safe as they are pursued by unknown forces, who seek to use her powers for their own selfish purposes.

This film has been given an R18 rating, much like Marvel’s Deadpool that was released in February, and has said that they will be portraying a much darker side to X-men than the cinematic universe has ever seen before.

Sadly, this film will also be the last time we will see Hugh Jackman as our beloved Wolverine and St Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier, making it all the more fitting that they be the two actors to end the Wolverine trilogy.

The movie is set to come out in March 2017.
