Mthatha police arrest learners for stealing goods worth R120 000 at their school

Mthatha police on Monday arrested three suspects, aged 17-years-old, for housebreaking and theft occurred at Joyi Senior Secondary School in Mthatha over the past weekend.

According to the police, all the suspects are learners at the school and were arrested at Nyoka Locality, Bayiza, Mthatha.

“The estimated amount of all the stolen goods found in their possession is R120 000 and all were released in their parents’ custody as they are minors,” said Mthatha police.

The suspects will appear before the Mthatha Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
