Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber releases 2016 SONA wishlist

The Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber on Tuesday released its wish list on the issues that it wants addressed in President Jacob Zuma's 2016 State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Thursday.

"As the authoritative voice of Nelson Mandela Bay business, the Business Chamber is committed to ensuring a competitive enabling business environment for our members," said Cindy Preller, Communications Manager at the Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber.

"The South African economy must take centrestage in Thursday’s presidential address and as a business community we urge government to announce a clear, implementable action plan to facilitate sustainable economic growth in the country."

Meanwhile, President Zuma is going into the SONA speech a confident man after he said that the country was happy about his and government's performance. Zuma made the comments while addressing informal traders and foreigners outside the Department of Affairs in Marabastad on Monday, as part of a feedback session in the run-up to SONA 2016.
