Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Art Museum invites visual arts entries

JANUARY 21, 2015

Are you an artist in the age range 18 years or older and resident in Nelson Mandela Bay?  Are you eager to showcase and promote your visual art?  If you answered yes to both of these questions, then you are eligible to enter the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Art Museum’s annual exhibition Who’s who and what’s new?

This unselected community exhibition is run annually by the Art Museum to identify and publicise practising visual artists and visual art groups in Nelson Mandela Bay.  From students to both amateur and established artists, this exhibition is a great opportunity to showcase current art in the Bay.

There is no entry fee. Artists are asked to submit only one original work created in the last year.

Artists who lack the financial resources to mount and frame their works may apply to the Art Museum for assistance before 23 February 2015.

Works must be delivered together with a completed entry form to the Art Museum on 27 March during normal opening hours (9:00 – 17:00).

The exhibition will be on show from 2 April – 3 May 2015.

Entry forms are available at the reception desk of the Art Museum. For more information and entry forms, contact the Art Museum on 041 506 2000 or email Emma O’Brien [email protected]. Alternatively, visit the Art Museum’s website or Facebook page for details.
