New hope: Baby white rhino born at Koffylaagte Game Lodge

Koffylaagte Game Lodge is the proud owner of a baby white rhino.  Born two weeks ago to resident parents, Pride and Joy, the new baby is a welcome addition not just to Koffylaagte Game Lodge but to the rhino community as a whole.

After having spent the first few days deep in the bush, the newcomer was introduced to his dad, Pride, and the other residents over the weekend by his mother.

The Lodge takes stringent measures to ensure the safety of their rhino. Both adults have had their horns removed and the management undertake regular and irregular patrols to ensure that the rhino are kept safe.

The 35kg, the yet to be named, male is expected to be a big attraction at Koffylaagte Game Lodge and he can be easily seen both from the lodge, where the parents tend to spend much of their time, and from the game drives.
