New lion cubs at Kwantu Private Game Reserve

AUGUST 10, 2016

Kwantu Private Game Reserve on Wednesday announced the birth of three lion cubs and released images publicly for the first time in celebration of World Lion Day - celebrated on 10 August.

The cubs - Jikela, Khuzani and Yekile - were born on this Eastern Cape reserve between Port Elizabeth and Grahamstown on the Sidbury Plains two months ago.

They will suckle for another four months before switching to an all-meat diet, and are extremely curious according to Kwantu Private Game Reserve CEO Shakir Jeeva.
