Nissan Juke facelifted and priced

BY CHARL BOSCH - FEBRUARY 2, 2015

Nissan South Africa has given its smash-hit Juke crossover a mid-life facelift with raft of changes and the addition of a new engine.

Although still instantly recognisable on first glance, the 2015 Juke features redesigned front and rear bumpers, new headlights with daytime running LED’s and refreshed taillights with clear indicators lenses, bigger mirrors and wheel sizes up to 18-inches. Inside, the Juke features an upgraded centre console with better materials while Bluetooth, cruise control, stop/start, climate control, six airbags and Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) are standard on all models.

Under the bonnet, the previous entry-level normally-aspirated 1.6-litre petrol engine has been dropped in favour of the 1.2-litre turbocharged unit used in the recently introduced Qashqai. Power is rated at 85 kW and 190 N.m of torque. A six-speed manual is the sole transmission offered. Nissan claims a combined fuel consumption of 5.6 L /100 km and CO2 emissions of 129 g/km. The rest of the line-up remains unchanged.
