The annual School of Built Environment awards ceremony, held on Wednesday, 13 April 2016, is a prestigious event that recognizes and rewards the top academic achievers for their outstanding results. The Master Builders Association is actively involved and acts as main sponsor for the event.

The School of Built Environment take this opportunity to reward Quantity Surveying, Construction Management and Building and Human Settlement Development students and also to encourage them to obtain a high standard in any year of their studies.

A Merit Award is based on academic achievement and performance for studies of a formal programme.

The qualification must have been obtained with a weighted average of 75% in the minimum prescribed period and candidates must have passed all modules at the first attempt.

The Dean’s Award for Academic Accomplishment is awarded each year to the graduate who has the best diploma/degree academic performance in the school. The qualification must have been obtained cum laude.
