On-bail serial fraudster arrested again

OCTOBER 12, 2015

Serial conman, Jonathan Constable, has been arrested again, hardly a month after he was released on R5 000 bail by the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court.

Constable was arrested by the Railway Police after he entered the station with foreign nationals whom he had arrested for being in the country illegally. The police then brought in the Home Affairs officials and upon finding that Constable was using a fake appointment certificate, he was then arrested.

The 44-year-old Constable violated his bail conditions which included that he must not leave the Ehlanzeni District in Mpumalanga without the knowledge of the investigating offer, that he must stop the illegal practice of dealing in matters relating to immigration as well as the condition that he must present himself to sign for bail condition at the Nelspruit DPCI offices.

He will appear before the Germiston Magistrate’s Court on Monday, facing charges of impersonating immigrant officials and extortion.
