According to Eastern Cape police, a multi-disciplinary task team consisting of local detectives, Hawks investigators, intelligence officers and a tactical response team were involved in the tracing and arrest of the 34 year-old male suspect in C- Section Duncan Village, where he was hiding out.

The involvement of the suspect in numerous murders and robberies in Buffalo Flats, Duncan Village, Mdantsane and Mooiplaas over the last 12 months is being investigated by the team.

He is expected to appear in court on Monday on charges of murder and robbery.
