PE Flying Squad swiftly arrest Zwide house robbery suspects

Members from the Port Elizabeth Flying Squad early on Monday morning arrested two suspects immediately after receiving a call of a house robbery in progress.

According to Eastern Cape police; "It is alleged that on Monday, at about 02:00, Constables Severiano Blundin and Siyabonga Ntamo responded to a complaint of a house robbery in progress in the Zwide area.

"As the members arrived, they spotted a green Chevrolet Spark speeding off.""

The police said that a chase then ensued and the members succeeded in blocking off the vehicle.

"Three suspects emerged and started running. Two suspects were arrested while the third managed to flee."

All the stolen items, which included a flat screen TV, computer, cell phones and clothing was found inside the car.

The arrested suspects are expected in court soon.
