According to the police, Swartkops SAPS officers, who were patrolling the area, overheard community members talking about the incident, which is beleived to have happened around 6 o'clock on Sunday evening.

The deceased's body was recovered on Sunday night.

A postmortem will be conducted to establish the identity of the deceased while a murder docket has been opened.
