Petrol Station Shooting Part 1: Shooter fired in self defence

The concert owner, responsible for shooting dead a young man outside a Cape Town petrol station over the weekend, has stated that he acted in self-defence.

According to Eyewitness News (EWN), lawyers for H2O owner, David Forbes, told the Cape Town Magistrates Court that he had “played open cards” with them and would under no circumstances undermine the court’s authority. His application for bail is set to continue today.

Forbes was arrested after shooting 24-year old Toufiq Joseph outside an Engen branch in Gardens on Sunday, after an alleged argument broke out. No details of what was said or the motive has yet been provided.
