Police seek public help in finding missing elderly Port Alfred woman


Police in Port Alfred have appealed to the public for assistance in locating 82-year-old Nohlile Potwana of Lovertwist Admin Area in Bell, Port Alfred.

She was last seen by her granddaughter, whom she lived with, on Saturday, 29 October 2016, at 14:00.

According to the police, she left the house to go to the ablution block, which is in the yard and did not return.

“Several attempts to search for her by family, community members and various units of the SAPS have been unsuccessful,” said police spokesperson, Captain Mali Govender.

She added that, she is slender built and suffered from Asthma and she was dressed in a lime coloured overal, flowered doek and denim takkies.

Police have since appealed to anyone, who might have information of her whereabouts, to come forward or contact their local police station or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
