Port Elizabeth police looking for woman who abducted 5-month-old baby

The Family violence, Child Protection and Sexual offence (FCS) in Port Elizabeth is appealing to the public to assist with information regarding the whereabouts of a woman, who allegedly abducted a five-month-old baby from the City's Kuyga suburb.

"The complainant met a female suspect by the name of Asanda at Polar Park on 26 October. 

"The suspect was allegedly looking for a place to sleep, which was offered to her by the complainant at her house in Kuyga," Eastern Cape police said.

"It is alleged that the suspect took the five-month-old baby together with a 7 year-old boy sibling to the shop to buy sweets, the boy was allegedly told to return home alone, as the suspect was going to come back later with the baby.

"The woman never returned with the baby and a case of abduction was opened."

The police are seeking community assistance in the investigation of this case.
