Port Elizabeth police recover stolen vehicles, arrest wanted murder suspect

Port Elizabeth police say on Friday alone they recovered several stolen vehicles in the city and brought a wanted murder suspect into custody. 

In one case, the PE K9 Unit recovered a stolen vehicle, an Opel Corsa bakkie, in New Brighton, Port Elizabeth.

The vehicle was found abandoned at a house in the township and no arrests were made.

In another case, a 29 year-old suspect, with a warrant out for an alleged murder, is expected in court soon after he was busted by the PE Flying Squad in KwaZakhele, PE.

He was driving a red VW Polo at the time of his arrest and the vehicle was also seized by police.

In yet another case, the PE FlyingSquad recovered two stolen vehicles  - one on the N2 Highway and the other in the city's Walmer Township.

Both vehicles had been abandoned and police are yet to make arrests.
