PROFESSIONAL FRAMING: Creative Life Gallery provides quality services for your framing requirements and more
Creative Life Gallery, conveniently situated along Main Road, Walmer in Port Elizabeth, has been framing art, certificates, photos and much more since 2002. Desiré Wright, the owner of this excellent gallery, is an artist in her own right and it is her inherent knowledge of form, colour and perspective that makes her so good at framing.
When asked about what differentiates her from other galleries, she replied; “I do more than just framing, I try to consult with my clients with regard to any work of art, be it for their home or office, and I select the framing technique that will match not only the picture, but the décor of the site where it will be hung”.
Desiré often works with interior designers where she is required to produce artwork that will conform to the designer’s concept. This requires a very good understanding of décor and the fact that she has provided artwork and framing services for three big hotels in the past two years is testament to her ability.
Service is a very big part of the Creative Life Gallery ethos.
“I believe that integrity is the highest quality in service and that in life there can always be errors but it is how you recover from these errors through your service delivery that makes the difference,” says Desiré.
“Each piece of art is special to every client and my objective is to ensure that customers can trust me to not only look after their precious possessions, but to exceed their expectations when it comes to mounting and framing.”
Desiré believes that without artistic knowledge, a framer is simply cutting a length of wood at 45 degrees and piecing it together around a picture.
“It is my passion to ensure that the framing that I create for my clients is good enough to hang on the wall of my own home,” she says.
Creative Life Gallery offers all types of framing including original art, prints, mirrors, canvas mounts, block mounts and they particularly specialise in shadow box framing which include all framing of all your memorabilia. One of Creative Life Gallery’s unique ideas is to do imprints of your babies hand and footprints, in clay or plaster, which are then framed in a box frame.
Desiré also has passion for ceramics and you will find a range of her work as well as other renowned ceramicists on display at Creative Life Gallery.
