Proteas coast to Kingsmead win

AUGUST 15, 2015

The Proteas have eased to victory over New Zealand in their first T20 international at Kingsmead in Durban on Friday.

As it happened: South Africa v New Zealand, first T20

After winning the toss, stand-in Proteas skipper AB de Villiers elected to bowl.

New Zealand posted 151/8 in their allotted 20 overs which proved to be an easy enough target for the Proteas who reached 152/4 after 17.5 overs to win by six wickets.

The second and final T20 will be played at Centurion Park on Sunday, starting at 14:00.
