Puctomafani Consulting celebrates 10 years in business

Putcomafani Consulting (PMC), a full-service, national marketing and communication company based in Port Elizabeth, celebrated 10 years of business at a colourful event at the Roof Garden Bar on Saturday with more than 100 delegates from government, corporate South Africa and NGOs and Royalty in attendance.

PMC was founded by former Kaizer Chiefs Public Relations Officer (PRO), uMhlobo Wenene DJ, Actor, Marketing Communications guru and sought-after Master of Ceremonies (MC), Putco Mafani, together with his wife - an astute Events Management coordinator, Bongiwe Mafani.

“The organisation has been around for 10 years now, since 2007. It was originally based in Johannesburg with clients like platinum Stars because we mostly focused on sports PR and then we slowly moved to covering big events,” said Wonga Benya, PMC Public Relations Officer.

He also added that the company assisted with 2010 FIFA world cup as their CEO was the head of market and communication in the Nelson Mandela Bay, which is how they ended up forming the company in the Bay.

Benya said Putcomafani Consulting has been growing since 2007 and has maintained a superior level of service excellence by adhering to community development at the heart of everything they do because growing and developing the South African community through skills transfer, social assistance and social activism for those who are voiceless is part of company’s core business.

“We want to grow the business and cater for everyone not only here in Nelson Mandela Bay and Johannesburg but in South Africa as a whole and be the best in the business by putting the needs of the clients first,” he described.

PMC also have CSI initiative that caters and promotes and develop local talent and contributes a lot to charities.

 Lilitha Bidla, one of the local artists to have benefited from PMC and also performed at the event, talked about how PMC helped in developing her music career.

“I am from Mount Ayliff; PMC helped me a lot with marketing my career and with exposure. They introduced me to relevant people. Being here today for me means a lot me as I'll be exposed to people that could help my career to develop regarding the audience that is here today,” said Bidla.

Lithemba Singaphi, from National African Federated Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NAFCOC), gave out message of support and shared how PMC has helped and promoted NAFCOC.

“From NAFCOC, we are very proud we have associated with a company that is represented by disciplined people, a company that takes pride in its brand. We are hoping that you'll grow and be an international company that will be exploring opportunities everywhere in the world and put Nelson Mandela Bay on the map,” Singaphi said.
