R150 000 reward offered for cop killers

Libode police are offering a reward of up to R150 000  for information which may lead to the arrest, prosecution and conviction of suspects involved in the murder of Warrant Officer Mlungiseleli Dukuza (55) and injury of Constable Mluleki Madolo (40), Eastern Cape police said.

This came after the members were  attacked while responding to a complaint of a robbery in progress at Libode Post Office on 24 March at about 23:00 hours.

On arrival, the members saw three (3) people on the roof of the Post Office and the shack next to it.

The members were shot at by unknown people and they fired back and a shootout ensued.

Warrant Officer Dukuza and Constable Madolo were hit by some of the bullets and injured. They were rushed to hospital for medical attention.

Unfortunately, W/O Mlungiseleli Dukuza (55) passed away on 25 March while Constable Madolo is still  in a stable condition in hospital.

Police are appealing to the public to assist them with any information that may lead to the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s) responsible for this crime.
