R50 000 reward for information that can lead to solving Bhisho official's murder

Police in Bhisho have put forward a reward of R50 000 for information, which can lead to the successful identification, arrest and successful prosecution of person/s responsible for the killing of Paramount Mfuza Mapukata, who was a Social Development Policy Advisor at the South African Local Government Association (SALGA) in Bhisho.

"It is alleged that on 14 November 2015, at about 22h00, the 42-year-old, was outside a local tavern when he was shot by an unknown suspect/s," said police spokesperson, Captain Siphokazi Mawisa.   

"He was alone at the time of the incident and there are no witnesses in the case. The detective continued with the investigation and no suspect has been arrested yet.

"Police are appealing to the community members to assist them with any information that may lead to the arrest of the suspect/s."
