Residents urged to vote for preferred Dr Beyers Naudé Local Municipality logo
The Dr Beyers Naudé Local Municipality, which comprises of the former Camdeboo, Baviaans and Ikwezi local municipalities, is in the process of finalising its logo. However, community input is required in order to decide on the best option.
If none of these options appeal to you, nothing stops you from submitting your own design. If you would like to do so, please submit your input in JPEG format to [email protected] or [email protected]
Remember to include an explanation or brief on your design (what your logo entails or what it means).
The deadline for submissions is 28 April 2017 at 00H00. Thereafter the submissions will be placed on the Dr Beyers Naudé Facebook page in order for the community to have their say on each option.
The key insight was that each of the previous municipalities' emblems has key graphic elements that are unique in relation to others, for example, the Ikwezi logo's "star", the "sun" in the Baviaans logo and the mountain graphic in the Camdeboo logo.
Insight: An amalgamation of the three municipalities is a window of opportunities. Here the window was used together with the succulent, landscapes and sun elements.
This logo was designed with the insight in mind that the new municipality must focus on the future. The eye is a symbol of many things, including transparency, honesty and integrity.
This logo is symbolic for people working together towards progress and purpose.
