Revered Italian restaurant brand lays roots at The Boardwalk

One of South Africa’s most revered Italian restaurant brands, Col’Cacchio pizzeria has laid roots at The Boardwalk. Col’Cacchio pizzeria, famous across the country for its crisp thin bases and mouthwatering topping combinations, opened at the site of Leonardo’s in The Boardwalk’s retail area on Tuesday 12 July 2016.

Col’Cacchio pizzeria is a family and adult friendly restaurant, which allows everyone to enjoy being part of the whole pizzeria experience. Kids are given dough to play with and are able to draw up their own pizza designs on our brown paper while they wait for their food. A casual yet sophisticated ambiance, reasonable prices and friendly staff make for an environment that welcomes both young and old.

The inspiring menu offers a wide choice of delicious combinations and dishes. There are over 50 different pizzas, 20 salads and 20 pasta options to try. Items range from traditional favourites like the Principessa pizza, a classic Margherita made with fior di latte mozzarella, topped with cherry tomatoes, fresh basil and a drizzle of olive oil, to more exotic dishes like the Smokey Babe with Asian de-boned smoked pork ribs, rosso onion, corn, spring onion, mint and coriander.

There is something to suit every palate and every type of eater. In keeping with Col’Cacchio pizzeria’s vision to always remain innovative and customer responsive, the menu offers a number of options for anyone with food allergies or restricted diets, such as yeast- , sugar- , dairy-, wheat- and gluten-free pizza bases as well as wheat- and gluten-free pasta.

There are also vegetarian and vegan options, such as cheese-less pizzas, while the Pizza Foro range, boasting less than 505 calories, is perfect for health and weight-conscious diners wanting to enjoy a tasty, guilt-free meal when dining out. There are no added preservatives or added MSG in any of Col’Cacchio pizzeria dishes, with everything being made fresh to order.
