Roadworks on the N2 from Wilsonia to N6

The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) would like to notify travellers that the resealing of the N2 from Wilsonia to the N6 will continue from today (Thursday) until the end of October 2016.

Resealing will continue on the East Bound (to Butterworth/Mthatha) fast lane, approximately from the Western Avenue Bridge (Km13.2 road marker) to 2km past the North East Express Overpass (Km 16.8 road marker). All on-and-off ramps will remain open to traffic.

From 14:00 today, Thursday, until 14:00 on Monday, 19 September 2016, the East bound slow lane will be closed from the Western Avenue bridge (km 13.2) to 2 km past the North East Express Overpass (km 16.8).  The on-ramp to the N2 from the North East Express under-pass will be closed to all traffic from Saturday, 17 September at 7:00 to Sunday, 18 September at 17:00.

The fast lane on the West Bound carriage way, towards King Williams Town, will be closed from 14:00 today, Thursday (15 September), to 12:00 on Monday, 19 September 2016, from 2km before the North East Express Overpass (km 16.8) to the Western Avenue Bridge (km 13.2). The on-and-off ramps will remain open to traffic.

The fast lane on the West Bound carriage way,  towards King Williams Town, will be closed from 14:00 on Monday, 19 September 2016 to 14:00 on Thursday, 22 September 2016  from 2km before the North East Express Overpass (km 16.8) to the Western Avenue bridge (km 13.2).  The on-and-off ramps will remain open to traffic.
