SA-born actress joins AUSSIE - The Australian Circus Spectacular at The Boardwalk tonight

South African born actress, Meryl Cassie, the lead actress in the international television cult series, The Tribe, joins AUSSIE – The Australian Circus Spectacular as the ring mistress when the show ventures to Port Elizabeth on Friday night.

Born in George, in the Western Cape, Cassie moved to New Zealand as a child and has become a household name for her role in The Tribe, one of Europe’s longest running cult shows. She has also acted in a number of international, New Zealand and Australian television series including, Shortland Street, Hercules, Legend of the Seeker, Karaoke High, Hiatus, and many more.

AUSSIE: The Australian Circus Spectacular is a modern and exclusively human, feel-good circus spectacular that blends stunning cirque style acrobatics, hilarious vaudevillian antics and extreme, high octane stunts. The executive producer of the show is Cape Town-born Sebastian Cassie. This is the first time that AUSSIE – the Australian Circus Spectacular has visited foreign soil, and it promises to leave audiences in awe with the cast performing unbelievable feats.

AUSSIE: The Australian Circus Spectacular takes place at The Boardwalk’s Festival Lawns from 26 February to 6 March 2016. Tickets are on sale at Computicket and range in price from R200 for adults, and from R150 for children under 14.
