Several suspects nabbed by Mt Frere police on drug charges

Mount Frere police were on Friday commended for successes in the arrest of several suspects in their area on drug and liquor charges.

A 32-year-old male was arrested for dealing in dagga near Teba, Mt Frere, after police received information that there was a certain male selling dagga in the area.

They proceeded to the said place and found a male suspect sitting on top of a pale. Upon searching, they found dagga inside with the estimated value of R1 500. 

In another incident, a 45-year-old man was arrested for dealing in dagga estimated to the amount of R900 at Boss Location, Mvuzi also in Mt Frere. 

Two more males were arrested for possession of dagga in different areas around Mt Frere. 

Furthermore, six suspects ranging between 24 and 45 year were arrested for different crimes such as selling liquor without license and public drinking.

Acting Cluster Commander, Col Nomazwi Nkombisa, said: " Well done members for good work and this would serve as a deterrence to would be law breakers in our policing precinct."
