Shocking new police survey

BY CHARL BOSCH - FEBRUARY 3, 2015

A survey by research website, Futurefact, has found that 33% of all South Africans fear the police. The study, conducted late last year, found that out of the 3 048 adults who took part, 44% felt that there was no need to a report a crime while 70% indicated that they continue to fear crime and are constantly alert.

“Three in 10 adults fear going to a police station to report a crime themselves, while a third say they are scared of the police,” the company said.
