Singa Town Lodge hosts Ladies High Tea with a Twist for a great cause

Singa Town Lodge, situated in Summerstrand, Port Elizabeth, held a Ladies High Tea with a Twist over the weekend. The event was in an effort to raise funds for the local Animal Welfare Society.

Not wanting to have just a typical high tea, Singa’s event, which was hosted on Saturday afternoon, included a fashion show, showcasing clothing from Woolworths in Greenacres, a scrumptious lunch and a fun make-up demonstration by the Smashbox make-up brand.

“We thought that we would do something just for the girls who do not have that much time to relax. I wanted to do something different, which is why it wasn’t a high tea with your cucumber sandwiches. We wanted different food, with a fun and relaxing atmosphere,” Desiree Scott, Manager at Singa Lodge, said.

The ladies got to enjoy the sunshine at this 5-Star lodge, and a delicious lunch of slow roasted beef on a Panini, a chicken couscous salad, and for desert, a chocolate brownie, cheese platter and bread baskets.

And luckily for them, they had the chance to win some incredible prizes from Smashbox, Singa Lodge itself, an Amarula hamper, and vouchers from Foschini in Greenacres as well as prizes from Miglio Designer Jewellers.

“We decided that with this event, we also wanted to do something for the community, and we chose Animal Welfare because they really need the help. I think we made a lovely contribution for them,” she said.

“We auctioned off a Singa Lodge voucher, which is for dinner, bed and breakfast for two people, and we made a good amount off of that for the Animal Welfare, and some of the ladies also brought some goodies for the animals as well,” Desiree added.

Singa Town Lodge offers incredible and romantic accommodation in Port Elizabeth. The lodge is situated close to the Beachfront, making it perfect for honeymooners or business persons.
