Smith makes changes for Sharks match

OCTOBER 7, 2015

Toyota Free State Cheetahs coach, Franco Smith has named his team who will be facing the Cell C Sharks in their Currie Cup match at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein on Saturday afternoon.

Smith has made several changes to his team, after the Cheetahs drew 37-37 with the Steval Pumas in Nelspruit last weekend.

Loose forward, Boom Prinsloo will be returning to the field this week, replacing Gerhard Olivier at flanker.  Olivier has been put on the bench in place of Ruan van Rensburg.

Neill Jordaan will be playing in the No 8 jersey in place of De Wet Kruger. Armandt Koster replaces Reniel Hugo at lock, and Hugo will be moving down to the bench in place of Willem Serfontein.

Jacques du Toit returns to the field at hooker, with Neil Rautenbach replacing Chase Morison on the bench.

BG Uys has been placed at loosehead prop, while Teunis Nieuwoudt moves to the bench.

This is a crucial match for both the Sharks and Cheetahs, as it is the final round-robin match for both teams. The winner of this weekend’s match will be taking on the Emirates Golden Lions in the semi-finals at the Ellis Park Stadium.
