Stage three load shedding implemented

BY CHARL BOSCH - APRIL 14, 2015

Power utility Eskom has announced that it will be implementing stage three load-shedding from 18h00-22h00 on Tuesday. The latest announcement comes after the state-owned parastatal had been carrying out the second phase of controlled power cuts since Sunday.

In a single tweet, Eskom stated that the continuing vulnerability of the national grid has resulted in the increase of power shedding from stage two’s 2 000 megawatts, to the 4 000 megawatts of stage three.
