Star Wars Episode VII - The Force Awakens set to break world records

BY DARREN JOHN - NOVEMBER 20, 2015

With 26 days to go before Star Wars Episode VII – The Force Awakens hits cinemas worldwide, advanced international ticket sales have already passed the $50 million mark - double the previous record of $25 million held by The Dark Knight Rises (2012).

The film is expected to break all movie box office records. It is predicted to surpass Jurassic World’s current ranking of top opening weekend earnings with almost $209 million, although no December release has ever earned higher than the current record holder, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, with just $85 million.

South African audiences have been given the opportunity to experience this movie from the 16th of December, two days earlier that its international release date – have you booked your seats?
