Storage Dams at Combined 78.50% of Capacity

The five major storage dams supplying the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality were at a combined 78.50% of capacity when the latest reading was taken on Monday.

This is 1.08% above the level recorded two weeks ago on November 24.

Details released by the municipality show that the largest storage dam, the Kouga, was at 88.65% of capacity, compared to 87.26% on November 24.

The second largest, the Impofu, was at 69.18%, down from the 69.73% recorded two weeks ago.

The Churchill was at 61.28% compared to 59.47% on November 24.

Both the two smallest dams supplying the metro were at 100% of capacity, with the Loerie up from 74.26% on November 24 and the Groendal remaining at 100%. - MetroMinutes.
