Stormers missing Carr and Kolisi

BY NATALI IVERSON - JANUARY 20, 2015

DHL Stormers loose forwards, Nizaam Carr and Siya Kolisi will not be available for the pre Super Rugby season match against the SWD Eagles in George this weekend.

Carr was hospitalised last week with a severe viral infection, but has been recovering at his home, while Kolisi is still resting following a hamstring injury sustained during training last week.

Lock Jean Kleyn, who has an AC joint injury, Ruan Botha with an ankle injury, as well as prop Frans Malherbe, also with an ankle injury, are all on the path to recovery and will be returning to the team soon, with Klein resuming training next Monday.

The Stormers will travel to George on Friday afternoon for the match against the Eagles, scheduled for Outeniqua Park at 16h30 on Saturday, before two more warm-up games against the Toyota Free State Cheetahs and Boland Cavaliers on the 30th of January and 7th of February. The Cape side will kick-off their Super Rugby campaign against the Vodacom Blue Bulls at Loftus in Pretoria on the 14th of February.
