Sturridge may return for Chelsea match
Liverpool striker, Daniel Sturridge, may be returning from his long term injury when the team face Chelsea in their League Cup semi-final second leg at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.
Sturridge has been side-lined since the 3-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane in late August last year, due to a series of persistent injuries.
He travelled to the United States in December in order to receive treatment on his recurring thigh injury.
The star striker has since returned to training with Reds manager, Brendan Rodgers, saying that he hopes Sturridge will be able return to the team in time to face Chelsea.
"He (Sturridge) trained very, very well yesterday and that was as comfortable as he's looked," Rodgers said.
"He looked back to normal. We won't risk it that's for sure, he's been out for a long time and we need to make sure he's ready."
