Sundowns want semi-final spot
Mamelodi Sundowns striker, Katlego Mashego, has said that his team needs to be on great form when they face AmaZulu during their Telkom Knockout quarter-finals game, if they want to progress to the semi-finals of the competition.
Sundowns will host Usuthu in three weeks time, after the international break.
Amazulu had a poor start to the 2014/15 Premier Soccer League (PSL) season, but Mashego has said that his team should not underestimate their opponents if they want to play a solid game.
"It’s going to be a difficult game for us against AmaZulu," said Mashego.
"We need to prepare ourselves a lot for them if we really want to beat them. That I am so sure about and we want to go to the semi-finals of this competition.
"So we must first do our homework and hopefully it will work out well for us."
Sundowns managed to beat arch-rivals TUKS 2-1 on Saturday, with midfielders, Elias Pelembe and Themba Zwane each scoring a goal in the game, pushing Sundowns to the next stage of the competition.
The venue will be confirmed by the PSL cup committee for the Amazulu clash soon.
