Suspects in Kabega Park murder case expected to apply for bail

UPDATE: THIRD SUSPECT ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH KABEGA PARK MURDER

The suspects arrested in connection with the robbery and murder of an elderly Kabega Park woman about two weeks ago are expected in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate's Court on Tuesday for a bail application.

Fikile Mengo, 20, and Mkhuseli Ngqanda, 28, appeared in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate’s Court on Monday for strangling Marlene Webber, 78, to death with a towel during the robbery.

They were arrested on Friday and Saturday after one of the suspects handed himself over to the police on Friday. 

It also emerged during their court appearance that one of the suspects, Mengo, was a casual worker and painter at Webber's home.
