Swallows announce new main sponsor
The chairperson of Premier Soccer League (PSL) team Moroka Swallows, Leon Prins, has revealed that motoring manufacturer, Hyundai, will be the team’s new sponsor, with the official unveiling scheduled for this coming Thursday (18 September).
Hyundai has replaced previous sponsor, Volkswagen, after the German auto giants decided not to renew their contract with the team last year.
Prins said that the sponsorship will be good for the team and will be a great initiative.
“They are one of the sponsors of the FIFA World Cup. So it is a good brand for us to be affiliated with and I look forward to a great partnership. We will do our best to make them proud,” said Prins.
According to Kickoff magazine, Prins has been waiting for the right kind of brand to associate with, adding that there was no need to rush into things.
“We've had some other opportunities, but we had to wait. This is the right sponsor for us.”
Swallows are currently seventh on the league table with nine points. They will next face Free State Stars on Saturday the 27th of September.
