Update: Third teen arrested in connection with the hijacking and murder.

Two teenagers from Wells Estate Township, Port Elizabeth, are expected in court on Tuesday, after one of them, a 16 year-old, allegedly shot dead a 53 year-old woman during a hijacking in Adcockvale on Monday afternoon. The boy was apparently still in his school uniform when he committed the crime.

According to Port Elizabeth police, the woman, who was visiting her mother in Adcockvale, was shot in the back and her old boxer-type BMW stolen.

She was rushed to Livingston Hospital where she died soon after arrival.

Police circulated a description of the hijacked vehicle and a breakthrough came when PE Flying Squad members spotted it at the Engen Garage in Blue Water Bay on Monday evening.

The suspect as well as a 15 year-old schoolgirl, who was in the car with him, were promptly arrested.

A firearm was also seized by the police.

The teens face charges of hijacking and murder.
