The craftsman’s touch: Luxury and premium quality wood furniture at Herman Brink Furniture
What started out as a part-time passion working with wood and crafting furniture, quickly grew and matured over time to what it is today.
Having identified a demand for high quality custom-made furniture, backed up by innovative design and excellent service in Port Elizabeth, I decided to make the leap from quantity surveyor to custom furniture designer.
Each of our unique Herman Brink pieces is designed and crafted to celebrate the natural beauty of materials and meet your individual requirements.
With the exceptional ability to translate tough and demanding client specifications into quality furniture, Herman Brink has a real commitment to producing the perfect piece of furniture for your home, office, lodge, guesthouse or restaurant, time after time.
Inspired by the richness and individuality of the wood we work with, each item combines the enduring appeal of solid wood with craftsmanship and expertise. The grain, texture, colour and warmth of every piece, breathes life into our furniture and confers style, elegance, charm and appeal.
Depending on your needs, we make furniture for game lodges, guesthouses, hotels, resorts and restaurants using nothing but the highest quality wood, combined with outstanding craftsmanship and state-of-the-art equipment.
Over the last 20 years, we have built up a solid reputation based on commitment to clients, a tasteful sense of balance between traditional and modern styles, an unwavering commitment to go the extra mile, and a passion for producing the perfect piece of furniture.
During this time, we have grown from assembling furniture in a small home based workshop, to supplying pieces as far as Cape Town. Most recently, we were contracted to manufacture custom made furniture for the upmarket Delaire Graff Wine Estate in Stellenbosch, after securing the tender that originally had been put-out in the UK.
This was followed by designing the bedroom furniture for the Alphen Hotel in Constantia, as well as the fittings for their deli restaurant, La Belle.
The reason Herman Brink Furniture has remained the same over all these years, is simply because of our passion and drive to be the best. Whether we are designing a dining-room suite for a young married couple or for a five-star hotel, our commitment to perfection remains the same.
Simply put, the enemy of excellence is being “just good enough”.
