International business strategist and change management specialist Michael Jackson will be in Port Elizabeth on Friday, March 24, to help local business people to adapt their business practices to meet present and future challenges.

“This is not an ordinary breakfast. It is a team thinking experience where you will leave the event with a plan for your own road ahead,” says Bev Hancock of the Kamva Leadership Institute.

Instead of delivering a speech Jackson will make a brief introduction, after which he will be interviewed on stage by Algoa FM’s Daron Mann to discuss how companies can “do business better,” she says.

Following this discussion Nelson Mandela Bay economic development, tourism and agriculture mayoral cmmittee member Andrew Whitfield will be sharing the municipality’s vision for the metro with Jackson.

“Then we get down to business, with Michael taking the conversation to each table in a vibrant team thinking exercise.

“Delegates will learn how to remove day-to-day pressures and confusion by adopting what are known as ‘simple and smart’ approaches to planning and management,” says Hancock.

“Companies will want to book a table for their management team, but there is also space for individuals who will have the opportunity to plan and interact with other business leaders from the Eastern Cape,” she says.

Born in Britain, and educated and trained in business strategy development and communication in London, “the other Michael Jackson” as he calls himself has worked with business leaders such as Richard Branson and Bill Gates, as well many leading global businesses such as Qatar Airways, HP, Goodyear and Barclays.
