OCTOBER 30, 2015

The third suspect arrested by Eastern Cape police in connection with the alleged faked abduction and murder of Port Elizabeth teacher, Jadye Panayiotou, 28 year-old Sinethemba Nenembe, was actually in police custody for another murder in Port Elizabeth, when police uncovered his link to the Panayiotou case.

Nenembe appeared on Friday morning in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate’s court on charges of murder and kidnapping.

"The suspect was already in custody at the St Albans Correctional Facility in Port Elizabeth in connection with the murder of 72 year old Denise Webber on 20 August 2015 in Kabega Park, Port Elizabeth when detectives uncovered evidence that positively linked him to the Panayioutou murder," police described.

Jayde was abducted outside her Kabega Park complex on the morning of April 21. Her body was found near KwaNobuhle, Uitenhage, the next day.
