Three male suspects, aged 25, 26 and 31 years old, are expected to appear in the KwaNobuhle Magistrate's Court on Monday after they were busted on Friday afternoon for copper cable theft.

"During the operation members searched a Mazda 323 and found copper cables concealed in containers inside the vehicle. The three occupants in the vehicle were arrested and detained on a charge of possession of suspected stolen goods."

The copper is estimated to weigh more than 150kg and worth more than R50 000.
