Top 5 wedding photographers in Nelson Mandela Bay
There is a vast amount of photographic talent within our city and, with the help of Darren John, editor of Wedding and Function magazine, and top local designer, Morne van der Schyff, brought you our choice of top wedding photographers. Each photographers style is different and, although we have ranked them, this is a very subjective field and you may find that your choice of style and technique is different to ours.
- Ian Zaaiman
Ian is always friendly and approachable, we loved the fact that Ian’s website features some of his most recent work. His pictures are colourful and happy and his website is interactive and full of movement. He is also one of the few photographers who includes his rates online.
"I spezialise in wedding photography and also render a service for family portraits. I am based in Port Elizabeth and travel where ever requested. I strive to capture life’s defining moments and what fascinates me about wedding photography is the love of two people where nothing else matters in those moments and the celebration of life where family and friends gather together.”
- Cherie Theron
Cherie’s bubbly personality shines through in her photographs. Her pictures are vivid, colourful and dreamy with a touch of romance. Once you get to know Cherie you will find that your relationship stretches from weddings to maternity to baby shoots.
“I am passionate about capturing the intimacy and special bonds in relationships; that's why I love photographing weddings. It is all about relationships, family and intimacy. It is a privilege to share such an awesome day in the life of couples I photograph, and then to watch their families grow through my lens!”
Taryn’s images are dreamy and soft. She has the ability to capture the essence of the moment and you can feel the love between the couples. Her images are natural and seemingly unposed. Her website shows photo albums and she includes a description of the weddings.
“I always try to bring out something about the couple’s personality into the shoot, something that they will be proud to show off for the rest of their lives. My style is very natural and I love shooting in a natural environment from forests to beaches. I love sunshine and flowers and a sun dappled forest.
Brad is a friendly guy and easy to work with. His pictures have a modern appeal – simple and clean. His images are cutting edge and after reading his online bio, you feel that you have met him already.
"My passion is people. I want the world to see you. I love doing wedding photography because there is so much life, so much history, so much detail in the character of every family member and it comes through in everything else too. "
5. Nikki M
Nikki’s photographs are joyous, lively and beautiful. She has a fine attention to detail and captures expressions perfectly.
“I’m a fun-loving, quirky wedding photographer. My main focus on a wedding day is to tell the complete story using beautiful light, bright colours, and genuine emotion. All the small details matter to you as a couple, and they also matter to me as your photographer!”
