Transfers in and out of Chippa showing potential

BY MARC JACOBSON - JUNE 30, 2016

Chippa United midfielder, Thamsanqa Sangweni, has turned down the prospected advances to both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates in their attempts to snatch him from the Port Elizabeth-based side.

Sangweni grew up supporting the Kaizer Cheifs and remains tight-lipped on where he would be playing next season, but has however reported as saying he remains happy to be playing and staying in Port Elizabeth.

This raises a strong hope that the 27-year-old will stay with the Chilli Boys next season with his contract expiring at the end of June 2017.

David Zulu has also completed his transfer with Chippa, who moved from Kaizer Chiefs and will link up with fellow Chiefs teammate and forward, Bongani Ndulula, at the Port Elizabeth franchise

In other transfers extending to other clubs – Walter Maponyane is set to leave Chippa and join Polokwane City; with Joseph Molangoane’s move to Kaizer Chiefs depending on the payment on his transfer fee or his move being secured through PSL DRC.
