Treat yourself: The ideal balance of life
The start to any new year can be a bit daunting and often one may find that they need a day to unwind, de-stress and regather. Youtopia Health and Wellness Centre is situated at 90 Circular drive and allows one to do exactly that.
I decided to spoil myself with a full day spa package. Which includes a combination of a sauna, spa bath, full body exfoliation, full body massage, a Salon Care Facial, a brow tint and shape and ends off with a manicure and deluxe pedicure.
On arrival, I was greeted by Jess and Cheve at reception and offered a superb cappuccino. Cheve showed me around the therapy room and couldn’t help noticing the rustic elegance and attention to comfort - I felt right at home. The whole atmosphere of Youtopia is one of relaxation and this is accentuated by the subdued colours, therapeutic music and clean, fresh aromas that permeate the whole spa.
I started my day of pampering in the most amazing spa bath that I have ever seen. While in the spa bath I applied the chocolate scrub that smells so good, that you feel like taking a bite. I let the aromas sink in and I allowed my head to clear. Cheve kindly checked in after 45 minutes and had to call my name a couple of times to awaken me from my relaxed state.
The full body massage, skin analyses and the Salon Care Facial all took place in one of the treatment rooms. All of these can be a little invasive but I felt completely relaxed under the expert hands of my therapist.
By now I was feeling relaxed and refreshed and was ready for my mani, pedi and brow tinting. The same therapist, Cheve, again proved her excellence and skill.
What an awesome way to start the year. I have a good mind to start every month with a visit to Youtopia! In fact, as I write this article, I have already made my next appointment.
With Valentine’s Day around the corner, I suggest that you make your appointments sooner rather than later. Youtopia caters for both males and females and they offer two great Couple’s Packages. So if you are looking to treat yourself or a loved one, Youtopia is the ideal place.
