Two Aliwal North men busted with drugs worth nearly R100 000

Two Aliwal North men is expected in the town's Magistrate's Court on Monday after he was arrested on Sunday by the Aliwal North K9 Unit for possession of drugs in Hilton Township.

According to Eastern Cape police, the men were found with 996 mandrax tablets, 19 sachets of tik and 1 parcel dagga valued at an estimated R99 600. The drugs were seized by the police in addition to R11 314 cash that was also found on the men and is belived to be proceeds from durg dealing.

The suspects are detained at SAPS Aliwal North awaiting their court appearance.

In an related issue, East London police are also appealing to the public to assist in finding a missing person, Nomalady Nowezile Nxazonke (86).

"She was last seen on Friday, 20 May 2016, at Maza Location, Manqulo Village, Butterworth. She was wearing a navy 'doek' on her heard, grey track top, light blue polo neck top and navy skirt," said Kei Bridge Police.
