Two Butterworth women bust with dagga worth R24 000

According to Eastern Cape police, their members at Msobomvu, in Butterworth, on Friday bust two women, aged 28 and 38, for dealing in dagga. The suspects were arrested following police intelligence that they were peddling illicit drugs.

"Both suspects were arrested at Vulley Velly Township, in Butterworth. The two suspects have been charged with dealing in dagga.

"The dagga has weight of 24,10kg with a street value of R24 000," the police said in a statement.

Both suspects were expected in the Butterworth Magistrate's Court on Monday on illegal drug charges.
